With the No.08 Artist Limited Edition V  Cosmos  - a thematic limited edition collection released biannually - Opinel has collaborated with three artists whose work is a tribute to this universal fascination, to the silent connection between us and the stars.

The cosmos inspires scientists as much as artists, dreamers as much as explorers. It embodies the connection between humanity and the universe, between the tangible and the elusive. In the immensity of the sky, everyone searches for meaning, emotion, and light. On the No.08 hornbeam handles, three artists have translated that same quest into vivid interpretations of the cosmos.

The Jeanjean No.08 folding knife features a matte black PVD blade and Virobloc®.

Only 500  each available in the United States | Numbered blade | Made in France.

This knife includes a custom designed gift box.

Asile

Elisa, also known as  Asile , is a freelance artist and illustrator based in France.

" For this illustration, I wanted to talk about balance: between day and night, Sun and Moon. No duel here, but a duo. Two characters, sat on a moon crescent, looking at each other. Their clothes, between stellar and solar designs, speak their bond: different but equal. Around them, three birds carry stars as if they were re-drawing a constellation. The moon becomes a space of encounter and tenderness, a sanctuary suspended between dream and reality ."

Blade Length 3.28 inches

Steel Stainless (Numbered)

Handle Sublimed hornbeam

Weight 1.4 oz

Care

Hand wash only. Do not immerse your knife in water, as this could warp the wooden handle. Dry the blade before closing.
